I thought I would send you the status of the box I am building for you.
The box is built and has two coats of oil and four coats of shellac on it. I plan on putting six more coats of shellac on the box, with sanding in between. The final finishing is very important and time consuming.
I found the wood very interesting. I started out thinking these boxes are going to look bad just like plain pinewood. I was pleasantly surprised and shocked when I put the oil on them and they turned dark in differ places and glimmered.
With this I will close and with plans to ship the box to you the first part of January.
